Alec Musser of âAll My Childrenâ and âGrown Upsâ dead at 50
Alec Musser, an actor and model known for his roles in the soap opera “All My Children” and the 2010 movie “Grown Ups,” has died at age 50, his fiancé announced Saturday.
A cause of death has not been revealed yet, according to reports.
Musser played Del Henry on “All My Children” from 2005-07 and also played a masseur on the show “Desperate Housewives” in 2011. Comedy fans may remember him as the muscle-flexing man with the high Canadian accent in Adam Sandler’s “Grown Ups.”
Born in New York City in 1973, Musser grew up in New Jersey and Connecticut before moving to San Diego, according to his bio. It’s unclear where in New Jersey he lived.
Musser worked on a ski patrol in California and then a lifeguard before becoming an Abercrombie and Fitch model. He also modeled for Gianfranco Ferré, GQ, Cosmopolitan, Men’s Health, Speedo, and Target.
In 2005, he won the second season of the reality show “I Wanna Be a Soap Star,” which led to his role on “All My Children.”
“RIP to the love of my life,” his fiancé, Paige Press, wrote on Instagram. “I will never stop loving you. My heart is broken. … Today is the worst day of my life. We were so happy.”
Sandler also offered condolences via social media.
“I loved this guy,” the comedian wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Cannot believe he is gone. Such a wonderful, funny good man. Thinking of Alec Musser and his family and sending all my love. A true great sweetheart of a person.”
